Nathan Sweaney is a seasoned cybersecurity professional and technology leader with more than 25 years of experience translating complex technical concepts into clear, practical business solutions. Throughout his career, he has helped thousands of organizations, from small businesses to Fortune 10 companies, reduce risk and strengthen the security of their systems. At the Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute, Nathan focuses on solving complex challenges across cybersecurity, education, artificial intelligence, drones and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and other emerging technologies. A passionate advocate for the cybersecurity community for more than two decades, he currently serves as President of ISSA Oklahoma and is a founder and organizer of BSidesOK, in addition to serving on numerous boards and advisory groups. Nathan holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Oklahoma Baptist University, is pursuing a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Tulsa and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through ISC2.
