Speaker: 

Thomas Devon Laney is the President & CEO of Gradient, an award-winning nonprofit entrepreneurial support organization based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since joining the organization in 2019, he has led the development and launch of one of the nation’s largest innovation and entrepreneurship hubs, supporting hundreds of startups and generating more than $1.4 billion in economic impact. Prior to Gradient, Devon spent over 14 years leading Innovation Depot in Birmingham, Alabama, where he helped drive significant entrepreneurial growth and national recognition in technology-based economic development. He previously worked with Accenture advising Fortune 500 companies and has also founded multiple technology and B2B ventures. Devon is a nationally recognized speaker on innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development, and currently serves on several national and regional advisory boards. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from The University of Alabama and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program.
