Key Takeaways:
Project managers are often asked to deliver results in complex, people-driven environments, and this PMI Tulsa presentation offers a practical, real-world perspective on how to do just that. Using Healthy Living programs at the YMCA as a case study, the session demonstrates how programs can be managed as strategic assets rather than simple calendar activities by aligning mission, sustainability, and measurable community impact. Participants will explore how everyday initiatives function as micro-projects requiring intentional initiation, planning, execution, and evaluation, while gaining insight into managing multi-site complexity, balancing standardization with flexibility, and leading through clarity, accountability, and culture. The presentation highlights metrics that truly matter, approaches to people-centered risk management, and the power of combining data with storytelling to influence stakeholders. Attendees will leave with a renewed perspective on structuring and leading programs as drivers of mission delivery, operational excellence, and long-term organizational resilience.
