Join us for a thought-provoking session with Julie Maness that challenges the traditional project success metrics of time, budget, and scope by emphasizing the critical role of leading people through change. This talk positions change management as a core leadership skill essential to project ownership and explores why initiatives still fail despite best practices—highlighting the impact of cultural dynamics, emotional resistance, and unseen barriers. With AI as a timely example, attendees will gain practical, modern strategies to lead meaningful change, even without formal authority.

Key Takeaways:

  •        Why change is still hard (even when it seems like an improvement)
  •            Myths and misperceptions about change management (e.g. “change = training”)
  •            How culture and identity affect adoption more than process or tools
  •           What AI-driven projects are teaching us about fear, readiness, and leadership
  •          Sharing practical frameworks that PMs can implement now
